The Slavic culture is not just about fur hats and vodka, but it refered back much further to the time before Christianity, when mythology and polytheism existed as part of everyday life.
A Polish costume designer named Agnieszka Osipa wanted to show the Slavic culture to let the world experience the ancient time of her root.
She creates a collection of wardrobes that turn modern women into mythical ladies from another world in another time. Collaborating with a photographer named Marcin Nagraba, the end results are extremely full of the ancient characteristic.
The costumes look mythical, magical and intriguing. Osipa’s works could make the women grow larger making them look charismatic, wise, harsh and fierce at the same time.
