Lucy Bellwood is a tall ship sailor and cartoonist living in Portland, Oregon. Since 2007 she has crewed aboard a wide variety of traditional sailing vessels on both coasts of the United States.
Her debut graphic novel, Baggywrinkles: A Lubber’s Guide to Life at Sea, draws from her time aboard the tall ship Lady Washington to provide readers with a playful and engaging look at life on an 18th-century replica ship.
Bellwood is a member of Helioscope, the largest collective freelance comics professionals in North America.
