Nintendo Could Be Working on The Mini Version of Super Nintendo (SNES) Classic

Following the success of its mini version of the Nintendo Entertainment System, NES Classic edition, Nintendo is reportedly developing another version of its classic game console.

Sources “closed to the company” revealed to Eurogamer, that the console is going to be a mini version of Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES Mini. The game console is rumoured to be launched by the end of this year around Christmas.

However, none of this information has been confirmed by Nintendo.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), which was commonly shortened as Super Nintendo, is a game console firstly distributed on 1990 in Japan and 1991 in North America. It is created following the success of NES, which was sold 61.91 million units worldwide.

Though the SNES was sold for only 49,10 million units worldwide, which is much less than its older brother, but the SNES was still the best selling game console of the 16-bit era.

When the 2016 mini version of NES Classic Edition console being released on the late of 2016, it was sold out everywhere. The mini NES Classic console is equipped with 30 classic games built in. $60 price tag is indeed a very affordable price for a chance to play our childhood games once again.
