Tokyo is a wonderful place to live. It is a metropolis full of stories and for many, it is an inspiring place. So, how do you celebrate a fascinating metropolis like Tokyo?
The Tokyoiter is a project made by illustrators and painters to create fictional magazine covers in the style of The New Yorker and The Parisianer.
The project was participated by many talented artists from around the world.
According to the Tokyoiter website:
“Some of us are illustrators and some are just living in Tokyo, a wonderful city full of stories and daily inspiration. We want to celebrate the passion for this city and its inhabitants’ story.
We hope that each cover will be a testimony of what’s make Tokyo such fascinating place to live and experience. We are sure that with this tribute to The New Yorker traditional cover art and The Parisianer, we can both celebrate illustration, cartooning, drawing, design, creativity… and Tokyo.”
The project is managed by three illustrators, Andrew Joyce, David Robert and Tatsushi Eto.
