Created in November 2013, Orikomi is a lamp shade brand that blend origami techniques into a lighting product.
The brand was developed in Lisbon, Portugal by Ana Morgado and Carmo Caldeira, both with background in architecture.
The basic principle of Orikomi is to create a good design that could add aesthetic value to the interior and could guarantee quality room lighting. The design has to be perfectionist, functional, economically affordable and also eco-friendly.
The design of Orikomi uses clean lines and geometric shapes giving a modern and minimalistic impressions. It was carefully handcrafted using high quality paper with a wide selection of colors. The product is also highly recyclable.
