Meet Thomas Dambo, an extraordinary artist from Copenhagen, Denmark, who creates sculpture and street art from “trash”.
Thomas had started building stuffs since his early age, from treehouses, boxcars or other projects made old woods he found on the neighbourhood.
In 2005, Thomas was accepted in Kolding School, where he began to see great potential in unused stuffs people threw away.
His first major street art was called “Happy City Birds”, which is made of plywoods he found in a giant container threw out of a construction site.
The big idea behind Happy City Birds is to build bird houses, so they can enjoy the city too.

Happy City Birds is an ongoing project. Each project took at least 2-3 months to complete. Until now, Thomas and his team have built more than 3,000 bird houses around the world.
After graduating, Thomas started his business in Copenhagen, while also continue on his bird houses project and pursuing his passion as a sculpture and street artist.
Thomas, with the help of his brilliant team, which consists of designers and carpenters, have set up many sculptures recycled from old woods and scrap metal, from sculpture of mystical creatures to human figure.

Thomas is now well-recognized around the world of his Happy City Birds project, as a large scale sculpture artist and also Happy Wall, his interactive pixel installation business.
